Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 9, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Lean Mass Calculator (operated by HealthTools Media Ltd.) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our site. We use cookies sparingly — only for essential site function and anonymous analytics.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, improve efficiency, and provide reporting information to site owners.

Cookies set by the website owner are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called third-party cookies. Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website.

How we use cookies

Lean Mass Calculator uses a minimal number of cookies. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites, build advertising profiles, or store any personally identifiable information in cookies.

Our cookie use falls into two categories: strictly necessary cookies that are required for the site to function, and analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used.

Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised usage data. We have configured GA4 with IP anonymisation enabled, so full IP addresses are never stored. The data collected includes: pages viewed, time on page, browser type, operating system, and country-level location.

This data is aggregated and used solely to understand how visitors use the site and to improve content. We do not use GA4 demographic features, advertising reporting, or cross-device tracking.

GA4 data retention is set to 2 months. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Advertising cookies

This site displays advertisements through Google AdSense. Google uses cookies such as IDE (from doubleclick.net) to serve personalised ads based on your interests and browsing history. If you have not opted out, Google may show you ads tailored to content you have previously viewed on Google-partnered sites.

To opt out of personalised advertising, visit Google's Ads Settings at g.co/adsettings, or use the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out tool at optout.networkadvertising.org.

Opting out of personalised ads does not remove advertising from the site — it means you will see non-personalised ads instead.

How to control cookies

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can choose to block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, or delete cookies when you close your browser. Note that blocking certain cookies may affect the functionality of this and many other websites.

Browser-specific cookie controls: Chrome — Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies. Firefox — Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies. Safari — Preferences > Privacy. Edge — Settings > Cookies and site permissions.

You can also use browser extensions such as Privacy Badger or uBlock Origin to block tracking cookies across all websites.

Do Not Track

Some browsers include a Do Not Track (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want to be tracked. Because there is no consistent industry standard for DNT, we do not currently respond to DNT signals. If a universal standard is established, we will review our approach.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our cookie use or applicable law. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. We encourage you to check back periodically.
